Weekly Saturday Run: 5 miles. I was supposed to run 8 miles today to stay on track with my #halfmarathon training schedule however at mile 2, I caught terrible cramps in both calves and I actually paused the #runkeeper gps while I sat on a bench and stretched. I will admit that the mixture of pain and disappointment caused me to cry. I am my own worst critic and I know I push myself too hard...which is why instead of going home like I started to do, I pushed myself to run 3 miles before I physically couldn't anymore. Week 4 of training started with a sore hip and ended with sore calves. Week 5 will start with extra water intake and daily stretching sessions!
