When I was a freshman in high school, I bought myself some iron-on letters and a blank grey t-shirt. I was in cross country, and I basically lived in running shorts and t-shirts. I thought it would be fun to make a shirt of my own. I didn't think that I was doing anything profound when I stuck the letters on, but I soon found myself fielding compliments (and questions as to the origin of my shirt). It was such a simple phrase, and one that I truly believed. I was amazed and pleased to see how many other girls believed it, and pushed to bring its truth into light. My iron-on shirt even landed me on the pages of the school yearbook. Tonight, I pulled out that dusty yearbook. In the morning, I will show the picture to my daughter and tell her the story behind it. And maybe we can run to Walmart for some iron-on letters. #TCKSA #tctitans #crosscountry #racewithreason #likeagirl by anniebeav27
