I completed my fourth marathon yesterday. The Big Sur International Marathon was the most challenging and scenic course EVER! Everything about this race is top notch. A true class act! Every half and full I do from this point forward will be compared to this one. I may make this one an annual tradition. I finished the race in 5:28:26. The first half leading up to hurricane point was pretty easy for me. It was the smaller rolling hills during the last half that really kicked my butt. This medal is more than a token for completing a marathon. It is proof that we can do anything we set our minds to do. ANYTHING!! Five years ago when I was a dialysis patient, I never imagined that I would be running epic marathons five years later. As long as I'm alive, I will continue to challenge myself and live my life epically. (That may not be an official word, but I'm gonna use it.) by randyfleet
